As the city of Tampa, and county of Hillsborough, continue to work to attract millennials, the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation (EDC) “has commissioned a survey of millennial CEOs and workers in competing markets to ask them what would persuade them to relocate here for a job,” as mentioned in a recent article, Tampa wants millennial workers; survey will explore how to lure them, featured in the Tampa Tribune.
Ryan Clarke, SiteREADY Chief Executive Officer, stated he would look for “weather and quality of life” as his prompters to relocate, if he were going to do so. “And talent. Are there other businesses similar to mine that I could potentially gain talent from?”
As the Executive leader of an emerging professional services firm whose focus is on technology integration within the workplace, Clarke knows that the “revitalization of a segment of downtown Tampa that Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik is undertaking” will play a very large part in attracting those who were born between 1982 and 2001. In addition, Fortune 500 organizations will begin to see Tampa as an evolving metropolitan area with very large opportunities for employment.
